How lovely to be able to contemplate a shorter skirt!

Ugh, American Apparel. I go in there once a year, if that. And it's usually t buy some solid coloured item for a Halloween costume. I am about as liberal as they come, but the soft core porn does me in.

oh, i love the skirt. i've made 2 this week for my girls from left over bits of pants & shirts. they are super easy & comfy. i have plans to make a dress for myself with the elastic method using an XL liberty for target shirt & a tank top

Lisa

Your skirt turned out very nice! Even better since you didn't have to spend very long making it. You have the legs for shorter but I think it looks wonderful at the current length. I'm sure it would look great with the J Crew belt too.

Yikes, The AA site is scandalous. I'm wishing I had not looked. :P

Did you find a secret room at Yellow Bird for the lessons? It must be larger than I remember.

Such a pretty color purple. The shine of the silk is luminous.
I think it is the perfect length, but if you'd like it shorter, go for it!
Feeling inspired to dust off the sewing machine.

The skirt is wonderful! I love the fabric you chose, makes it a little more special. You are an inspiration and I feel some new clothes coming my way, lol!

Thanks for sharing!

what a great skirt & a fun way to treat yourself to a class!! ..AA's ads in our paper gross me out so much i don't even want to venture over to their sight ...but that belt, on the other hand, is yummy --i do hope you'll make one so we can see :)
