The shop owner asked me to knit some fingerless mittens for her daughters, I usually never have much time for special orders but I am quite motivated this time because 1. she is the nice lady that took a chance on me and 2. she is willing to trade the mittens for a preserved boxwood wreath, one of which I have been coveting for a while...
This is the first pair in Berocco Ultra Alpaca, the pattern "tara gloves" can be found on ravelry or locally at Blazing Needles. I wanted to add a bit to the mittens for presentation purposes and ended up sewing this rather large fabric envelope, with an unknown print by Blank Quilting and a soft pique for the inside, all from my stash. It's showy admittedly, with the felt brooch to top it off but I really like it and it fun to give something a little larger than expected...
I used this tutorial from Sew Mama Sew, for the fabric envelope. I found the idea on Pinterest of all places...(no!)

You did a wonderful job on these mittens they are Beautiful and the envelope with the Brooch is a Sweet idea! Nice Job!
