This is my kind of weekend sewing:
On Saturday pick up some adorable stripes from Ikea, On Sunday sew-up a tissue box cover following this pattern. Quickly realize once you are done that you've made a horrible mistake. Instead of starting over, add a strip of fabric where it's missing and call it quits.
Moral of the story: Measure twice, cut and sew once. Way to state the obvious Juliette!

Very cute cover. I love Ikea's bright fabrics. I can't tell where you "messed up" I guess this is one project where it doesn't matter.

Thanks for the link to the tutorial, what a cute idea!

It looks cute - and you'd have to worry about anyone that was looking closely enough at a tissue box cover to notice any mistake...
Now, why didn't I see this fabric in my local Ikea? Probably because my grouchy husband wouldn't even let me briefly pause in the fabric section last time we were there.
