I was just wondering the other day whether I could find a nice sewing/craft book in German. (I'm a little new to sewing, so I don't know what's out there.) I think I'll look for Tildas Haus the next time I'm in a bookstore.

Thank you for your kind words about my blog! I find your work here at Chickpea really inspiring and the photography is beautiful. Yes, the baby is my first and I feel so excited and happy - and a little bit scared at the same time.

Tilda-books are very popular here in the Nordic countries, but I haven't got any of them yet. Maybe the ones I've seen were a bit too pink for me :).

I wish you all the best for your pregnancy!

Ulla

Definitely good books you have found . I have the Tilda books and am also stunned about the many patterns.

The French one looks really interesting. I'm allways searching for nice boys' stuff...

Lovely blog - I will be back!

Its funny to read your post today. I have been consumed the last week or so with foreign blogs and crafts, especially german and french. I didn't know about these books, they look wonderful. I have been enjoying you blog very much, you have major sewing skills!

Mette

I love the Tilda books. We can't get to many books....!

Sonja

If you get stumped in the German book, email me and I'll help you translate.

Sergio

I stumbled across your great blog, and have some news that may interest you and your readers. I work at JR Language Translations, and we just finished translating the Spring pattern catalog for Simplicity into German.

It will be launched in Europe in February.

Enjoy!

I really enjoyed the Sew Pretty Christmas Homestyle by Tone Finnanger. My mother and I had great fun creating beautiful Christmas accessories for our homes.
